Our Uninvited Guest

After returning from the Library, I left Em and Logan in the car while I carried in all of our stuff. I left the door open behind me and set everything on the kitchen table. I heard something and assumed it was Em coming in behind me. I turned around just in time to see a little black squirrel run through the back door. It went straight to the bay window. While it was running back and forth and knocking everything over, I am screaming and thinking I hope it doesn't come at me. It then turned and left the way it came. I guess I won't leave the door open behind me anytime soon--and I don't think I need any more excitement for the rest of the day!!!

I gave Blood

I did it today for the first time. I am very proud of myself, because I was so scared. I think the finger prick hurt more than anything. My New Years resolution is to give blood every time I can.

Holidays

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We celebrated with Grandpa Steve, Grandma Marilyn, Great Grandma and Grandpa Goodburn, Karissa, Ben and Devin on Wed. They all came over and we opened gifts and had Lasagna for supper.

Christmas Morning we got up and had our own family Christmas. Logan wasn't really into opening this year, but Emily was a great big sister and helped him out. Around 9:30 we headed over to Christie's house and had our Robinson Family Christmas followed by the Specht Christmas. We really missed Grandma Midge who was in the hospital.

Today we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Goodburns for dinner and to say "See ya later" to Grandpa Steve and Grandma Marilyn who are headed back to Utah in the morning--Have a safe trip.. Grandma Marge has already decided that she is having Christmas at her house next year on Christmas day....Don't say you haven't been told

I have to say we are truly blessed with Emily and Logan, they may get a bit naughty at times, but we wouldn't trade them for anything in the world

I think we are going to have a white Christmas

It can stop snowing at anytime. Em only had 2 full days of school this week..Late Mon, early out Tues and no school Friday all due to snow. Right now we are in a Blizzard Watch, which really sucks because we were suppose to head to Lynnette's for Christmas today. Sorry guys--try to have fun without us :(

Have I not posted for a while?

I can't believe it's been two weeks since I last posted. I mentioned I had the flu....That held on for a good week. You would think I would have lost 10 lbs not eating anything but toast and soup, I didn't. Logan ended up getting strep throat right after that. So far Em and Kyle have been healthy.

Have I mentioned how much Logan loves his big sister? He now says IE and we know that means Emily. He loves to follow her around and get into her room at all costs. Two rooms we keep the door shut-Emily's and the bathroom (loves the toilet too).

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

I have been wanting to sit down for the past week and blog, but this is the first chance I have gotten.

Last Wed Logan had his year check up--He was 20 lbs 7 oz and 29 1/2 inches...Emily was 57 lbs. Logan was very good for his 4 shots, he cried just as long for his shots as Emily did for her 1 Flu shot. Last year she had the mist, but I think she opted for the shot to try and be tough like Logan. She has already decided to go back to the mist next year. We took Karissa out for her Birthday lunch and then over to Grandma and Grandpa's to visit with Pam who was back for a week.

Thanksgiving Day we had 40+ of Kyle's relatives over for dinner. All I had to do is make a turkey and some dishes at the end of the meal....Everything was wonderful.

Friday and Saturday I was back to work at 5:00 AM--I don't know why Inventory always has to fall during a holiday..
Saturday afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. We watched Derek, Devin and Logan play and Sophia and Emily play.

Sunday we went back over to Grandma and Grandpa's and had some lunch and then came home and put up our Christmas tree and some decorations. So far Logan has left the tree alone.

As for the past 2 1/2 days--I got the flu. YUCK!!! Stay away from it at all costs.

What do you think she wants?

Last night after supper Emily started cleaning up the kitchen...She cleaned out the dishwasher, cleared the counters and then asked what else needed to be done around the house. I said there was some laundry that needed to be put away, so she got right on that...What a great surprise--

Week in Review

What a busy week...I will go backwards. Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! The weather couldn't have been better. Emily was Garfield the Cat and Logan was a puppy. We did the usual-Up Roosevelt Street from 5-6 then over to Grandma Caryl and Grandpa Marv's house.

Thursday I had a meeting which left Kyle to bathe and put the kids to bed.

Wednesday I had the day off-I took Logan in for the first half of his flu shot. He barely got a peep out and the nurse was done. I don't think it will go so well when he gets 4 shots at his year check up next month. Karissa took me out to lunch and then we came back here and scrapbooked for the entire afternoon. Logan and Devin played and played. We had to direct them back into the living room a couple of times, but they were very good boys.

Tuesday was Parent Teacher Conferences. It was the usual-She is very smart, but has trouble staying on task. We found out that she has been going in before school and helping another girl read. -We knew she could be a great helper!

Monday our little guy started really balancing himself and took a few steps. He surprised both Kyle and I walking between us-He's getting a little better each day-It won't be long now!

Fun Day

I watched Devin today while Karissa was at work and I have to tell you that I get such a kick out of just watching the two of them together. Devin was already here when Logan got up this morning. To say that Logan was excited to see Devin would be an understatement. It looked as though Logan was trying to give Devin a great big hug. They play, steal toys from each other, and follow each other around. Devin has learned that he can take toys from Logan just as easily as Logan takes toys from him.

I decided to be adventurous today and took both boys and Emily to a Pumpkin Hunt today. Everything was going OK, but I am sure glad that Aunt Christie showed up and helped me out. I don't know how people with twins leave there house to often--an hour was long enough for me.

I did laugh to the point of being in tears a few times today---What a great day!!!

Kyle the Babysitter

Karissa called and wanted to know if we could watch Devin on Saturday morning while she worked. I had to work too, so I asked Kyle if he could do it. He really didn't know--we ended up calling Brooke so Kyle would have a reinforcement. Everything seemed to go well, so I asked if he could watch Devin again Saturday night so Karissa could go with me to a party. He is an old pro--We came home and all the kids were in bed. Devin, of coarse, was the easy one. Logan did his usual-everything Devin has he takes. I guess Emily was a pain too. He survived!!!

The Egg

On Thursday night my boss and his wife had a get together at their house. Emily DID NOT want to go. She tried everything she could to get out of it, but once we got there she found they have dogs, cats, goats, chickens, and bunnies. I didn't see her to much--she did come in when she got hungry. I happened to be feeding Logan at the time and she asked me if I had eaten yet. I told her no, but she could go ahead and get in line. She came back and had a plate for me. Then she went back through the line and got her own food. What a thoughtful little girl I have. After we ate she went back out to play some more. She came back with an egg "which had just come out of the chicken's butt"--Jody said she could bring it home. Emily took it to school on Friday to show her teacher. At first she was going to try and hatch it, but then we decided it would be to hard to keep it warm for 6 weeks. And then we weren't going to eat it either....She told me a little while ago that she dropped it in the grass and it broke. It survived longer than I thought it would.

Happy Birthday Derek

Em, Logan and I headed out on Friday-after school-to Des Moines...Friday was Derek's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! He had a great party on Saturday afternoon. It was a great day and as usual it went by so fast. Just think-only 6 weeks until Logan's first birthday. Thanks for a great weekend Hillabolts!!

10 Months Old

That's right Logan will turn one in two months. WOW!! He decided last week to get his first ear infection and two top teeth all at the same time. No wonder he was so cranky. This week he is back to his happy-go-lucky self. Right now he is jibber jabbering away. "A DA" is what he says most often....Anybody know baby talk? Logan can also wave bye-bye and will give 5 to a select few people. He is the smallest of the DLD (Derek, Logan, Devin) gang-He weighed 18lbs 8 oz last Wed. at the Dr office. Karissa said Devin weighed that 3 weeks ago and Derek is over 24 lbs now--Oh well, I want him to be my baby just as long as he possibly can.

Hopefully this weekend I will find my camera and download the pictures we took last weekend.

Happy 80th Birthday Grandpa!

I took the day off on Friday and helped Grandma get some stuff ready and finished cleaning my house, because on Friday night who showed up? Grandma Marilyn, Lynnette, Sophia, and Derek and then we invited Karissa and Devin over too and had pizza for Kyle's birthday.

Saturday afternoon we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Grandpa's birthday with the rest of the family. It was so fun watching the three little boys play together. They are all three very mobile and have their own unique personality. What a fun weekend and exhausting. I had to come home this afternoon and took a nap with Logan. He is still sleeping so maybe I can try and get my house back to "normal".

What have we been up to?

Sorry-I know it's been a while since I have posted.
If I didn't already tell everyone who sent me cards, balloons, lunch, phone calls, and e-mails--Thank you-I had a good birthday, spent it with two of my favorate boys->Logan and Devin. Emily went with Braeden to Arnolds Park and Kyle went racing.

Racing season is about over. Kyle went to Nationals and qualified this year, I don't know how he thought the race went-but he was pretty excited just to qualify, but not as excited as last night when he got his feature win of the year. He had to wake me up and tell me when he got home. Sorry I wasn't more enthusiastic at 1:30 this morning. I am sure we will hear all about it when he gets up.

Emily is busy with school, she says she likes it. Logan has been quite cranky, he is getting at least one of his top teeth-it finally poked through yesterday. I can't tell if another one is coming in or not.

Have you seen our Twins?

Karissa watched Logan on Friday and I watched Devin on Saturday.
They spent about 36 hours together.

Logan treated Devin like a true big cousin would. I wonder how long before Devin realizes that he is bigger???

We've been Busy

A week ago Sunday -Kyle took Emily. Logan and I to the airport in Sioux Falls. We flew to Vegas and Grandpa Steve and Grandma Marilyn picked us up. When we arrived at their house Logan decided it was time for something new, so he sat himself up. (It was the first time I had seen him do it anyway). Emily told Grandma she wanted to swim, shop and climb moutains--so that is what we did. Monday we went shopping and then swimming. Tues we went to Zion National Park--It is beautiful--but very HOT! Wed we relaxed and then went back over to mom and dad's friends ->Bill and Annika's house to swim and for a BBQ. Thurs we went to Pine Mountain/Valley where it was much cooler. We hiked along a waterfall and creek. Friday and Saturday we did more swimming--Then Sunday flew back and came home. It was a quick week.....Did anyone else know that it is HOT in the desert in the summer? Both kids traveled so well. I had a lot of nice comments from strangers while we were getting off the plane.

We had a lot of fun! Thanks for everything mom and dad!!! I will post some pictures soon.

We are Under the Weather

The kids and I have not been feeling to well--None of us feel the same thought. Thurs night around 11:45 I woke up not feeling well--I will spare you the details...I think I ate once yesterday and am working back up to more today--Now I just have a headache.

Friday when I picked up the kids from daycare, Emily was sleeping--Big red flag there. She was all achy and said her head hurt. Logan seemed warm, but he had been taking a nap and he always seems warm when he gets up. We got home and I gave Em some Tylenol and Logan a bottle-after he fell asleep Em asked me to rub her back. Then she took a shower and said she felt better. Logan was so cranky that I let him go to bed a little after 7:00. He was up at 11:15 and he had a fever of 101.6.....I gave him some Tylenol and fed him and back to bed he went....Then he was up again at 4:30....His fever then was 100.8 and he would not let me put him back down, so we slept in the recliner until 6:00. His fever is gone, but he is still quite the cranky boy. What a fun start to a vacation week!!

The Deal

Ok...I am writing this for everyone to see. Since Emily had such attitude the last half of the school year last year we made a deal.

Lets start with Emily has been watching Jon and Kate plus 8. Each of the 8 kids have had a special day with their parents--Emily happened to see the one where Mady got her ears pierced, and since she is the same age as Mady, Emily feels she should have her ears pierced too. Our deal is: If she does not get in any trouble from the beginning of the school year until Winter Break we will let her get her ears pierced for Christmas, otherwise she has to wait until her 9th Birthday (a year and a half).

Logan's First Boat Ride

Yesterday afternoon we went up to the Lakes to go boating/tubing on Marv and Caryl's new boat. We were all excited all twelve of us could go on the boat together. As we were getting on the boat it started to sprinkle. I was trying to get Logan situated because he did not like his life jacket. I found as long as he kind of stood up the jacket didn't bother him as much and he enjoyed watching the water. Then it started to rain a little harder. We thought maybe we could just wait it out for a little while, so they put the canopy up--It was cold coming down on our backs so we wrapped ourselves in towels. Then it rained harder, so we figured we had better go in. After a few failed attempts to load the boat on the trailer Christie, Myself and the 6 kids jumped in the pickup while the other 4 tried get it loaded. I don't know how long it took, but they finally did it and we went back to the camper. It rained an poured so much there was a little pond outside of the camper when it finally cleared. We decided instead of grilling to go out for pizza. While we finished eating the sun came out, so about 8:00 everyone (except Logan and I---Logan was ready for bed) took the boat out and went tubing. What a day!

Kings Pointe

On Wednesday Emily and I went with Christie, Braeden, Aubre and Amber over to Kings Pointe. We had so much fun. Emily was a little hesitant to go down the slides at first, but once she went down one for the first time there was no stopping her. There was one-the toilet bowl--that I would not let her go on because I think she needs to be a little older for it. Otherwise she went on every other slide over and over.

First Tooth

Logan is getting his first tooth. You can't see it, but I can feel it poking through on the bottom. He started clapping last week too. It is so cute, we say yeah and he just smiles and does it more. And Logan just may crawl. He of coarse still hates to lay on his tummy, but sometimes when he is sitting he puts his bands out in front of himself and rocks back and forth--not on his knees yet, but we will see.

To Smart

I can't remember what Emily and I were talking about last night. I think she wanted to go somewhere and I told her I didn't want to travel right now. She came back with the fact that we are all traveling all of the time because the world is always moving. Right now we could be upside down and are not even know it. WOW did we learn that in First Grade!

Mom

I didn't even see it coming, but last night I was feeding Logan and all then sudden I hear "Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom". I was so excited and made such a big deal about it that hopefully he will do it again soon!

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Yesterday was Kyle and My 11th Anniversary. Kyle surprised me by arranging Brooke to watch the kids while we took a mini trip. We went shopping (didn't buy anything though), out for supper, gambling and then came home this morning. Thank you Honey!

Last week marked the end of Softball and Swimming lessons for Emily. She didn't pass her swimming lessons--She would rather play than learn at the pool. We will try again next year. Em did very good playing ball. Her coach told her to stick with it and she will be a good little player.

Logan is sitting for longer periods on his own and loving baby food. We don't know if he is ever going to crawl since he does not like to be on his tummy. At least I know where he is when he either sits or lays to play on the floor.

Wonderful Suprise

Last weekend Alisa called and said that she and her family were in town. Alisa, Elizabeth, Shannon, Mariah, and Sheliyah came over and visited on Sunday, Wed, Thurs, and Friday. It was great to catch up on everything and Emily and Logan LOVED playing with the girls....We said our Good Bye's on Friday--Come back soon!

Then on Saturday we said our Good Bye's to Grandpa Steve and Grandma Marilyn. They headed back to Utah this morning--We can't wait to go visit them in August.

Logan's Check Up

Logan had his 6 month check up this morning. He is a healthy, happy baby...He is 17 lbs 1 oz and 26 1/2 inches long.

Adventureland

On Sunday morning at 7:00 AM Mom, Karissa, Emily, Logan, Devin and I took off for Des Moines. The original plan was to go to the Zoo when we got there, but it was raining, so we went to Chuck E Cheese instead. We went out for supper and then back to Lynnette and Kevin's house and Emily and Sophia played on Sophia's new swing set.

Monday all of the girls (Sophia, Emily, Karissa, Lynnette, Mom and me) headed out for breakfast and then to Adventureland. Lynnette's Nanny was nice enough to watch all three of the baby boys. From the time we got there Emily asked where the Log Ride was. I kept telling her we were going to ride everything until we found it....Finally we did and she was so excited-at the end of the day we had to ride it one last time, to be the final ride. Emily also went on the Dragon, the roller coaster that goes upside down. At first she was OK, then we started climbing the hill (you know the one that goes slow enough that it gives you time to think about what is going to happen). I looked over at Em and she had tears streaming down her face "I don't want to do this mom". So I held her hand and went up and down and all around. When it was over she was smiling and said "That was awesome!"

We all had a great time. Emily and Logan must have been really tuckered out...because they were both in bed between 8 & 8:30 and I had to wake both of them up at 9:00 this morning.

First Word??

So does it count as a first word if he doesn't know what he is saying?....I don't think Logan's babbling Da Da Da Da counts if he doesn't know what it means. Kyle thinks it does--Who is with me?

Soft Ball

Emily had her first Soft ball game last night. I was feeling under the weather so Kyle went and watched. He said she did a very good job***She didn't even need the T to hit the ball, they pitched to her and she hit it. Great Job Em!!

Holiday Weekend

It's half way through this week and I haven't had time to blog about last weekend yet.

Kyle and Emily left Friday after school got out and went camping for the weekend with the Robinson/Plagman clan. I didn't get a lot of details, but it sounds like they had a blast.

Logan and I stayed home-well I had to work on Saturday and Monday...Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Goodburn for watching Logan for me. Sunday we went to Karissa's--Lynnette and Derek were there visiting some of Lynnette's college friends. We watched as the three boys played on the floor together. Derek is all over the place, Logan loves to kick, and Devin layed there and took it all in.

Was it a three day weekend? It went by so quick I didn't even notice.

Sweet Potatoes

Logan tried Rice cereal a couple of weeks ago and didn't really seem to like it. I have given it to him off and on and tonight I thought maybe I would try Sweet Potatoes--He loved them! He is growing so fast....Last weekend he rolled and rolled and rolled. He really wants to sit up, but can only stay up a minute or two. It must be time to move up to number 3 diapers, he had two blow outs today alone.

Last Monday when we were in the Dr's office for Logan's cold he weighed 15lbs 5 oz-- Karissa had Devin to the Dr's office that day too and he is also 15lbs 5 oz....Identical cousins!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY

EMILY TURNS THE BIG 7 TODAY!! We celebrated with family on Saturday--mixed it in with Graduations. I never think we have to many Graduations to go to until we start getting the invites. Anyway, Emily's party was very nice. Thanks for everything everyone!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. Mine was quite the day--Starting at 11:11 PM last night (Sat), Logan decided it was snack time. I think the most sleep I got was from 11:30 to 2:00--from there Logan was up every hour. I think it was a combo of gas, and his cold, he just wanted to he held. I put on his I love mom shirt, and besides me being a little grouchy (lack of sleep) the day went along like any other until about 5:00. Remember I said Logan was gassy, well MAJOR BLOW OUT!! It went all the way up to his neck. So we had an emergency bath and all was well. He made me earn my Mother's Day this year.

Emily made me a beautiful plate and a card--she is so sweet.

Do you need a good laugh?

This happened last week, but I just remembered it so I thought I would share. Last Wed I had the day off so I decided to go shopping. After a while Logan started getting fussy, so I paid and we went out to the Tahoe. I decided to feed him, before our drive back home, and got in the back seat. After feeding him I went to get out and remembered I had turned on the child safety lock when Sophia was back there the weekend before. So the only thing to do is climb over the seat--well in the process my leg decided to cramp and then my foot got caught on my purse strap. Maybe you had to be there, but I think I am glad no one saw me.

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Sorry

I know I haven't posted for a couple of weeks--We've been busy. I couldn't believe it when I realized that it was Sunday already. Anyway, last weekend we ventured to see Sophia and Derek. Grandma and Grandpa rode along too and they went to Doug and Cindy's house. They were all good travelers. I am very glad Grandma was able to feed Logan a bottle both ways. Emily, Sophia, Logan, Lynnette and I went to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday and the girls had a blast. Sunday Lynnette, Logan and I made a quick trip to Target, otherwise we just hung out.

This past week Em has been in trouble in school again. I don't know what you have to do to get kicked out of Music class, but my kid did it. I have cancelled her birthday party with her friend, but Kyle thinks that is to mean.....I've given her many many second chances and this was the final straw....SHE IS GROUNDED!!!!

Logan rolled from his back to his tummy on Friday for the first time and I started giving him a little cereal at night. Sometimes he takes it and sometimes not. I just like to watch his face when I put it in his mouth. He also had his first overnight away from me. Em and Logan went and stayed at Aunt Christie's Friday night--I did finally get some sleep.

One more thing - racing started Wed night. Kyle ended up 8th place, while he said he couldn't complain (new car and everything) he still had to change motors Friday night.

He's growing so fast

I don't know if it was what he was wearing, but when I came home from work today, Logan was laying on the floor and it hit me that he is not a tiny baby anymore. He looked so big.

Last weekend Logan rolled over from his tummy to his back. Of coarse since then he has forgotten how to do it, but Kyle helps him work on it every night. He loves to sit in his walker and play--and if he doesn't have any socks on, he can go backwards. Maybe it's time I find a gate for the top of the stairs!!

4 Month Check Up

Logan had his 4 month check up on Wed. He is 14 lbs 10 oz and 25 3/4 inches long. He is healthy and growing. Of coarse he had shots, he only cried when they were injecting them, but was so cranky the rest of the night. He went to bed at 7:30 and then was up at 9:20, so I figured I was in for a long night, but he downed a bottle and slept the rest of the night. However, tonight he was up at 1 and 3:45--That would be why I am blogging at 4:45 this morning.

Emily had to get her height and weight taken while we were there too, she is 59 1/2 lbs and 49 inches. (Yeah, she is tall enough to go down the slides at the pool this year!)

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

We are loosing hair!

Not that you can really tell, but Logan is loosing hair on the top left side (where his part is) and in the back on the right side (where he lays)...but it is growing back in pretty fast. I did have to give him his 2nd hair trim last night. Anyone ever try and give a 4 month old a hair cut??? They are pretty squirmy.

Girl Scout Overnight

Em had a PJ party last Friday night 8pm to 8am. I knew when I picked her up she would be taking a nap on Saturday--she looked so tired. I didn't expect her to fall asleep before 9am, but when she did I figured she would be up in a few hours. Finally at 1:00 I decided to ask her if she was going to get up. She said one more hour. I went in again at 2:15 and she still didn't want to get up. Then her friend came over and I told her to go ahead and get her up.....She did sleep all night then I was surprised....I suppose this is the first of many slumber parties.

Drill Team

Thursday night Emily and I took Grandma over to MMC to watch Jenny's last Drill Team performance. They had all grades Pre-K to High School, so we even got to see Brooke. Emily loved watching all of the dance moves. Great job Jenny, Brooke and Julie and Kevin!!

First Stroller Ride

Today was so nice out-It was almost 60 degrees-so I decided it was time for Logan to go for his first walk. We got home and took the stroller out of the box, put on the wheels and off we went. I was sure Logan would fall asleep, but everytime I looked in on him he was checking everything out. I think he enjoyed it!

Thanks again for the stroller Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa Steve.

Do we know how to relax or what?

Spring Break

Emily is spending her spring break at Grandma Caryl and Grandpa Marv's house this week. Today she was missing us so she had to come home and visit for a couple of hours. Kyle just took her back over....It sounds like she is having fun and staying busy.

Sunday, March 9, 2008

Tooth to Feet

Emily lost one of her top front teeth on Friday night. This is her fourth tooth that she has lost, but for some reason she was very excited to loose this one. Maybe because it's the first one on top and you can see it easier.

Logan has discovered his feet. He LOVES to lay on the floor and raise them up in the air. And he likes to kick everything. Also, he has discovered that he can make noises....This weekend he has been squealing.

Is it ever going to stop snowing???

Our Weekend

Even weekends that I have off go by quick. On Saturday morning while I cleaned, Em and Kyle went to watch Braeden at his wrestling tournament. When they got home, Em and I went out to lunch at Family Table. We were sitting waiting for our food to come and Em sat watching the TV off in the distance. All of the sudden I watched her eyes get big and her jaw drop. She said "Mom you have to see this!" I turned around and she was watching gymnastics. She couldn't believe that someone could do all those tricks.

That night she had a friend stay over. And Sunday we all relaxed. Emily is the only one who didn't take a nap.

Baptism

What a fun/busy weekend!! We all got together for Derek, Logan and Devin's Baptism this weekend. It was so cute to see all three of them together....And they were adorable in their little tuxes. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can get the pictures downloaded and share with everyone.

What's the deal?

I am not sure what the deal is--We are going backwards. I guess Logan sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old was just to good to be true. For some reason last night he was up at 11:00, 2:30, 4:45 and 6:00.....Growth spurt maybe? I still blame his two month shots, thats when he started waking in the night again. Good thing I have the day off today maybe I can get a good nap in this afternoon.

First Haircut

I can't believe it, but Logan had his first hair cut today. Kyle took him and they trimmed his sideburns and the back....Not even three months old and already a haircut-WOW!

School Lunch

Wednesday I had the day off, so Emily asked me if I would come and eat lunch with her at school. We had Dippers (mozzerella cheese sticks with breading on them & you dip them in pizza sauce), applesauce, butter sandwich and peas, oh and chocolate milk.....Good ole' school lunches..It's still the same food, only on yellow trays instead of light green.

Check Up

Logan had his 2 month check up yesterday. He is 12 lbs 4 oz and 24 inches tall. Yep, a whole 2 feet tall. He is very healthy and happy, well at least he was happy until SHOTS. Boy did he let me know it hurt. I felt so sorry for him. Auntie Christie watched him for a couple of hours afterwards, while I went and finished up at work, and she said he was fine. Then about 6:00 he got CRANKY!!! He had been sleeping through the night (7:30 pm to 5 or 6:00 am) but last night he was up around 2:00. Hopefully that was just last night and he goes back to sleeping all night again....Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Are you going to be on TV?

This is to cute not to share:

We (from time to time) watch the poker tournaments on TV.

Kyle: "I am going to go start the car and get ready to go."
Emily: "Where are you going?"
Kyle: "I am going to go play cards."
Emily:"Are you going to be on TV?"

Look-A-Likes

Emily needed a baby picture of herself to take to school today. Wow, Logan looks just like Em did at this age. Their hair even stands up the same in the back.

Busy Weekend

Saturday we went to Skyler's 3rd and Brooke's 14th Birthday Parties.
Sunday Emily, Logan and I went to meet Devin, what a cutie.
Logan was awake for most of both days...So guess what? He slept from 8:45 last night to about 7:00 this morning. I kept waking up and checking on him. He slept like a log and woke up VERY HUNGRY.

He slept quite a bit today too, so I don't expect him to sleep as long tonight.

Misc. Stuff

So I went for my check up and I have one more week before I head back to work. I hope this week goes really slow, I just don't want to go back this time. Logan has been going to bed around 9:00 and then sleeps about 1:00, then another 3 hours and then another 2 hours. He seems to get gassy around 6 and has a hard time with that. The gas drops don't seem to make any difference...Anyone have any other suggestions. The poor guy struggles so hard...

Logan's First Trip

On Friday Grandpa Steve and Grandma Marilyn picked up Emily, Logan and I and we headed out to to meet Derek for the first time. We had the Goodburn Family Dinner on Saturday at Doug and Cindy's and went shopping for a while on Sunday, then headed home on Monday. We had so much fun. Thanks for everything everyone!
