Cookie Time
Emily and I baked Christmas Cookies after school today. We made four kinds-Sugar, Choc Stars, Peanut butter and No-Bake. The Choc Stars and the Peanut butter ones are AWESOME..The other two I haven't tried yet. We each had to burn ourselves once, me on the finger and Em on her arm-oh she said twice on her arm. No promises that there will be any left on Christmas-but we'll try.

FINALLY
He finally said it -->"Luv you"...we have been trying and trying to get Logan to say luv you since he started forming words. He copies us and we try and sneak it in, but he would never say it. Yesterday I was sitting here and he came in and I got a great big "LUV YOU". Of coarse he won't say it when asked, but at least I know he knows how to say it.

Naturally Slim
I started on the Naturally Slim program on 9/20/09....It's a 10 week program that our insurance program was looking into. I was lucky enough to be chosen for the 2nd pilot group. I am so happy!!! ... I have lost 28 lbs and 19.25 inches. If anyone ever gets the chance to participate in this program-I highly recommend it :o) It's not what you eat, but how and when.
He's Talking Now
Even though I do not understand him most of the time and a lot of words sound the same, I am doing pretty good with "Logan Language". My favorite words are: vacky (vacuum), shoser (shower), and sorsey (sorry). Last weeks word of the week was help. He copies everything we say--so someone has to clean up his langage a little. He is quite the little talker.

Got a lot done
I had the day off yesterday and did so much....5 loads of laundry (washed, and put away), painted the bathroom ceiling, painted the patched wall in Em's room, cleaned the bathroom, ordered 4 Christmas gifts, checked the status on 3 packages already ordered, picked up the house, made lasagna, and helped with homework. Yes it was all with a little boy following me around all day. Whew!

Parent - Teacher Conference
I had a Parent/Teacher Conference with Em's teacher tonight. She is very smart, needs to grow more confidence, learn that school is important, and work on understanding what she is reading....Not worry so much about her social life. Mrs. K really likes Em and thinks she is a neat kid. We will see if we can work on not being so moody along with everything else.

TERRIBLE TWO'S
I was going to post that the TERRIBLE TWOS are upon us, but after talking with Grandma this afternoon I realized it's the same stuff he has been doing for quite a while. I guess I must be a little more laid back in my old age....I remember with Emily TERRIBLE TWOS starting around 18 months and lasting until---is she over it yet?

It's been a while
Since I posted last--Let's see, on the way home from Des Moines two weeks ago Emily got sick in the truck right before we got to Holstein. To make a long story short--there was a hole in the bag....Sorry for the person who found that along side his corn field. Anyway, as we were walking into the house-Logan got sick too. They were both fine by the next morning. Two days later I got it, then the next night Kyle got it. I think it got worse as it went along. We have all recovered and since then the kids and I have gotten our flu shot.
Emily is busy in school and soccer. Logan is busy playing and getting into everything that he is not suppose to (the usual). Same ole Same ole with Kyle and I--so you haven't missed anything to important with us

Busy
What a busy Holiday weekend. Friday night Mom, Dad, Devin, Lynnette, Kevin, Sophia and Derek came over and we grilled pork chops and hot dogs. Saturday I worked 6 hours and then headed to Cutty's to hang out with the entire family (Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles and cousins). We ate, played, swam, ate some more and then came home. This morning I made eggs, muffins and dad made the bacon. Lynnette and Kevin headed out a little after 2:00. I got Logan down for his nap and took about a 40 min nap myself. I think I will relax tomorrow! Maybe I will download my pictures and see if I got anything good (my camera is broken and I can't see anything until they are downloaded).

Look What Logan Got Today
Our Week
Nothing out of the ordinary this week. Kyle finished out racing at Alta-He ended up 2nd place. He's pretty happy with the season, considering he used 3 different cars. I think he was 22 points out of 1st place--Great Job Honey!
Emily has another week of school under her belt. So far so good. Those spelling word are hard tho.
Logan is still into everything. Kelly said he bit another little girl a couple of times this week, but I think it's because she bites him.
I've been doing my usual-work-play-cook-clean-etc. Same stuff, different week.

Shopping
Emily and I dropped Logan off at Daycare yesterday and went shopping in Sioux City. We left at 8:00, had to make a pit stop to fix a spark plug that was causing the Tahoe to chug, and were shopping by 9:40. The original plan was that she needed a couple of pairs of Capri's and I needed some new work clothes. While I found nothing, she got 2 pairs of Jeans, 3 pairs of Capri's, 2 pairs of shorts, a skirt, 6 shirts, 3 pairs of shoes, and a pair of pj's. What can I say, Old Navy was having an awesome sale! I did tell her no more clothes until Christmas.
We hit about 7 or 8 stores and I did find a few bargains for Logan too. Emily was very good, I don't think I heard a word out of her all the way home.

Oh Boy!
I am sitting in the family room this afternoon and Logan walks in. So somehow he managed to climb out of bed, and open his bedroom door. Oh my, what am I in for now???

Oceans/Worlds of Fun
Friday night Christie dropped off Braeden and picked up Logan for the weekend. Saturday 7:00 AM-Kyle, Emily, Brae and I hit the road. Just so everyone is aware--There is A LOT of road construction on I-29. When we got to Kansas City, we checked into our hotel and headed to Oceans of Fun. It was hot and there were a lot of people. Have I ever said how much I HATE waiting in lines? I DO! Emily wanted to go on everything and Braeden wanted to go on nothing. That is the way Sunday went at Worlds of Fun too, except there were not really any lines. Emily had no fear. She is 53 inches tall -there were a few rides that you had to be at least 54 inches to go on. Did I say Em has no fear? She rode those roller coasters with her hands straight up in the air (I was hanging on for dear life). And since Braeden didn't want to ride most of the rides, and someone had to stay with him, Kyle and Em would go and then Emily and I would go, so she rode most things twice. She even rode some, that we didn't want to ride, by herself.
This morning we ate breakfast and headed home. Logan was excited to see all of us and I was certainly happy to see him. Thanks Antie Christie and Grandma Caryl for watching Logan!

Potty Training Already?
I think it was just a fluke....Logan spotted the potty chair in the basement this afternoon. He pointed to it, said "potty" then took off his shorts. I thought ok lets see what he does, so I took off his diaper. To my amazement he went. We did try it again later and nothing. That's ok-it's to soon for me-he's still my baby.

Weekend at Home
Yes, even Emily is home this weekend. Last night we, well I, went through the toys in the play room. I get rid of things much better by myself. Emily did end up saving a few items from the trash pile-but I managed to throw out quite a bit and box up 2 boxes for Goodwill. This morning was cleaning day. I actually got floors vacuumed and mopped. For some reason recently I either get mopping done or vacuuming done...never all of it at once. I don't know what we will do tomorrow-probably end up picking up again--as usual!

Weekend
We had a busy weekend. On Saturday morning, while I worked, Kyle and the kids went to the lakes. Emily was fortunate enough to stay there with Grandma Caryl, Grandpa Marv, Braeden and the rest of the campers. Brooke came over and watched Logan and Caleb and Kyle and I had a night out. First out for supper and then to a street dance. I even got my picture on the Bands website: www.juddhoos.com/photos/255 -check out pictures 6 and 7.
Sunday afternoon I dropped Brooke, Caleb and Logan at Mike and Christie's house then we checked out some open houses around town...also drove around for about an hour just checking things out. Still no luck finding what we (I) want. I did a little school supply shopping, ate supper and was asleep by 7:00.

Vacation
I have been on vacation this week--Below I posted slide shows of my days with each of the kids.
Wed--Em, Brae, Brooke, Christie, Lindi and I went to Kings Pointe for the afternoon--Em was not afraid of any of the slides or diving boards.
Today Logan and I played at the park and then went to the Fair--It was super muddy, but we checked out the petting zoo and walked around a little.

Hair Cut
Happy 4th
Hope everyone had a happy 4th of July-Despite the Cold-Rainy morning we ventured up to the lakes to go boating.....
Emily was the only one brave enough to get into the water
( I think the water temp was warmer than the air temp)

Anniversary
Last night Kyle and I went out for our Anniversary (which is actually today). We went to Golden Corral for supper and then to the boat to loose some money...Neither one of us had any luck what-so-ever. (We actually were going to go to Texas Roadhouse for supper---next time we will call ahead).

What have we been up to?
Sorry so long since the last post. Lets see --The week of the 8th Vicki was on vacation all week, so I had to hold down the fort (at work) all by my self...Add in Emily had Bible School every morning that week, Kelly (our Daycare) got Strep Throat and Logan ended up getting Pink Eye...Thank you Caryl and Karissa for helping me out with the kids that week.....I was a little stressed that week. Not to mention Kyle totalled his race car Thursday night. I thought he would be done, but no he found a new one right away and has been working on it during his free time--That's all I say on that one.
Last week was inventory week. They updated our computers (at work). They do it every summer-This year they updated things like Excel and Outlook--You know when you are already busy, it sucks to try and have to figure out the things that are so routine-Like opening a file. AHHH!!! Wed night/Thurs AM we had storms go through town. We were without power for 2 hours at the store. I know other parts of town were out longer. The generator did kick on, but that doesn't run as much as you think it would.
This week Monday Emily and I worked in the concession stand at the ball park and it was HOT & HUMID!! Emily did a great job taking money and handing back change-I was pretty proud. I don't know if it was the heat mixed with lack of sleep, but I have felt pretty crappy this week-better today. That's it in a nut shell-I think your all up to date.

18 Month Check Up
My baby boy isn't such a baby anymore. Logan had his 18 month check up and he is 22 lbs 4 oz and 32 inches tall. Happy and Healthy and the Dr said we can still keep him if we wanted to. Of coarse I said yes!!! Emily went along just so she could watch him get his shots. He only ended up having to get one, but still cried to let me know he wasn't happy.
