Emily's Busy Weekend

Friday night had a Girl Scout Sleep over--She says she only got 3 hours of sleep. Saturday she came home and slept for about 4 hours, then we headed over to Natalie's 4th Birthday party. She played with all kinds of cousins. Friday night we celebrated Great Grandpa Chet and Great Grandma Midge's Anniversary with a BBQ....Then everyone went Bowling. Emily and Brae spent the night at Grandma Caryl and Grandpa Marv's house. Today we (Emily and I) had a date and went to see the Hannah Montana movie. Busy - Busy - Busy

The Joys of Spring

Rainy cold one weekend (which I think made everything turn green after last weekend)-Then warmer-warmer-record breaking high-cooler and windy-back to cold...Not to mention sore throats, coughing, sneezing and double ear infection. Ahhh the Joys of spring!!!

A Night Out

Yep-That's right Kyle and I went out last night. Grandma Caryl picked up Em and Logan for the night and we headed to Sioux City. We looked around for a birthday gift for Emily, then drove around looking for a place for supper. We were going to try Texas Roadhouse, but couldn't even find a spot to park in the lot-they were so busy. We finally decided on Red Lobster. The food was great and we didn't have to wait to long for our food...By the way-does anyone know what Kyle should have used his little tiny fork that they gave him for? After supper we headed to the boat. Kyle ended up hitting his winnings after about the second spin. He did share some of his winnings with me-Which I in turn gave back to the boat. I think he came out ahead a little. Thanks for watching the kids Grandma Caryl!!!

The things I have learned this past week

• Logan does not like the car wash.


• Emily will not to just anything for an allowance (wants big $$ for little things).


• Put lotion on Logan's hand for him to rub into his tummy and he will try and eat it (He did spit it right back out).


• Emily may need glasses in the next year or two.


• Small bumps can cause very large bruises.


• A new shed with more room makes Kyle very happy.


• You can poop the color Lime Green

The Past Week

Sorry again-Time just gets away from me way to fast. What have we been up to? Last Friday after school we headed to Des Moines to celebrate Sophia's 3rd birthday. Surprise when we got there--Grandma Marilyn flew in for about 10 days. Sophia took a liking to Logan and Derek to Emily....

On Sunday AM we woke to snow...The original forecast was for a blizzard here at home and not much at all for Des Moines--but of coarse it went south and we received very little snow at home. We did finally venture home and made it to Caleb's 3rd Birthday Party just in time for cake.

Grandma Marilyn came back for a few days-we went shopping and to see the Easter Bunny--for pictures you can check out Devin's web site...
